What type of work is available?
Venture Buddies considers our staff to be change agents of the sector who provide direct, social and recreational support to people with different abilities across all our programs.

This role is an ongoing casual basis and designed to be able to work across all of our services from teaching, social events and support for people with different abilities on holidays. Successful applicants will be based out in the community and some of the day to day duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

facilitating and delivering group programs to clients

supporting managers to run day to day operations
-
communicating with clients and carers
-
managing allocated administrative tasks and processes
-
contributing to business improvements
-
contributing to assessments of service quality
-
supporting and communicating with the Services Manager
-
adhering to the Venture Buddies WHS Policies and Procedures
-
ensuring a safe work environment for your direct reports
Do I need experience?
As Support Staff at Venture Buddies, you will need to have proven skills and experience in supporting people with different abilities and working within a team as well as excellent customer service skills. Some of the required skills include:

Genuine interest and commitment to supporting and empowering people with different abilities

Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
-
Be able to work effectively under pressure
-
Lived experience or experience working with people with various learning and social needs
-
Ability to work in and with a close team or autonomously when required
-
Strong administrative skills
-
Be reliable
-
A clear NDIS Workers Screening Check
-
A verified Working with Children's Check
-
A current driver's licence (minimum of 2 years driving experience)
-
Access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
-
Smartphone with internet access
-
Proof of Covid 19 vaccination including third booster
Desirable skills include:

Cert IV in Community Services / Disability or experience in supporting people with different abilities.

Allergies, anaphylaxis and asthma training is an advantage
-
Effective and clear communication skills - both written and verbal
